About us

Aldi stores are springing up all over the country. In fact, we’re now one of Ireland's fastest-growing supermarkets. But while it’s always nice to see queues of vehicles coming out of the car park, we also know that a silky smooth logistics strategy is more essential than ever.

So what can you expect from the Logistics arm of our business? Market-leading pay, first-class equipment and a strong culture of recognition, trust and clarity. Everyone knows what’s expected of them. They feel completely respected, listened to and integral to the business.

Our Managers feel empowered to make their own decisions. Our Selectors can see exactly how they fit into the bigger picture and are loving their role. The fact is, people might join us for the generous pay or the quality equipment – but they stay for an awful lot more.

What kind of roles are there?

Selectors (Days)

Selectors (Days)

Our wonderful team of Selectors bring to life our love of efficiency and productivity. Receiving instructions through a headset, they ‘pick’ stock for a specific store and load it onto a pallet. This is then cling-wrapped and put in a particular lane for the Driver to collect and put safely onto a lorry.

Our Selectors tell us it’s a fun team to be part of, with plenty of variety and responsibility. You’ll need to let your Section Leader know if there’s any damaged stock. And you’ll also ensure that full pallets are secured - and clearly marked with the right store number – and that all the paperwork is accurate. Safety is high on the agenda, but you’re always ready to get the job done in a ‘high energy’, enthusiastic way. Because, let’s face it, we couldn’t run the show without you.

Benefits

  • €12.30 per hour rising to €13.20 per hour
  • 5-day/25-30-hour week (typically), will include weekends
  • 4 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Comprehensive training provided
  • Company sick pay scheme
  • Company maternity, paternity and adoption leave after 2 years’
  • Gym pass (offers across a number of gyms)
  • Bike to work scheme

"It's good to be part of something

that's growing so quickly."

John,

Selector

- Mitchelstown Regional Distribution Centre

- Joined Aldi in 2014

My tasks for the day depend on when I start my shift. I might take instructions through my headset and ‘pick’ stock, or I might load it on the right pallets for the drivers. Ultimately, I make sure the right products are ready to be transported to our stores.

It’s incredibly fast-paced here. But Aldi’s a fast-paced business. It’s always growing. When I joined, the warehouse only serviced about half of the stores we do now. Since the time I have been here, Aldi have continued to expand. It’s good to be part of something that’s growing so quickly.

Aldi feels so unique to anywhere I’ve worked before. There are all kinds of people working here, all with different skills and perspectives. You feel really proud to be part of the Aldi family.

Excellent work-life balance

We always make sure our people have a great work-life balance. Plenty of time off, fantastic benefits and some great salaries to holiday in style.

Great opportunities to develop

At Aldi we'll value you for what you can do, rather than where you've come from. So we'll accept, recognise and often implement your ideas and recognise your contribution.
